Wash the seeds in cold water, then cover the bowl of flax seeds with clean water, about an inch over the top. Set aside for 4- 8 hours until they have absorbed the water. Add; Nama Shoyu & Seasonings of choice EASIEST and TASTY WAY: Simply add Fresh Salsa and mix in...then dehydrate. THATS IT!!! (I like salsa that is made fresh with no vinegar, preservatives or cooked oils.)
Optional; Use a blender or food processor to make a thicker cracker. Another Option; Before adding any water, blend the seeds in a coffee grinder or blender to powder. Add the water and seasonings. This cuts down the seeds sticking in the teeth...and changes the texture...add more vegie matter such as carrots and squash for taste and texture...EXPERIMENT!
Spread the flax mixed with seasonings and water out onto the dehydrator sheets and dry overnight or two days, depending on desired crunch. A thinner spread creates a crunchier Cracker.
